Greetings, Net Impact Chicago (NIC) Community!  We are looking forward to finishing May (Asian-Pacific-Islander American Heritage Month) and June (Pride Month, Juneteenth) 2023 —  See below for some great events!

Net Impact Chicago + Chicago Environmentalists Weekend Social 06/03 @ W. Loop!

Net Impact Chicago Professional Chapter is teaming up with Chicago Environmentalists for a Saturday social event on the rooftop at Time Out Market!

What: Meet others interested in advancing business, career, civic, environmental, and social goals in a fun and casual atmosphere.  Learn about opportunities to get involved with Net Impact and Chicago Environmentalists.  All career stages and industry backgrounds are welcome!

When: Saturday June 3, 2023, 3:00 - 5:30 pm.

Where: Time Out Chicago Market, 916 W. Fulton Market, Chicago IL 60607
Venue is accessible via the Green/Pink Line Morgan El stop; #8 Bus, and Divvy Stations on the corners of Lake Street and Morgan; Sangamon.

How much: There is no charge to attend. Attendees can pay for their own food and drinks from a choice of local vendors in a cashless environment. Real utensils and glassware are used, avoiding plastic waste.  You can preview the choices here.

Additional Info:  Upon arrival at the venue, head up to the rooftop and look for the Net Impact Chicago / Chicago Environmentalists table tents and signs. Check in and say hi, then get your beverage or food at one of the merchants inside, and rejoin the group!  If the weather is rainy, we will be in the indoor food court area either upstairs or downstairs.

Thu. May 25 - Chicago Climate Connect May meetup @ River West

Join climate-minded Chicagoans in a candid discussion at mHub Chicago (965 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60642), 6 - 8 pm CT, about the unique challenges of a climate career transition and how job hunters can best set themselves up for success. The panelists include Sydney Browning (Talent Acquisition Manager | Rheaply), Savitha Chelladurai (Experienced Sustainability and Energy Director, and Terra.do Climate Program Mentor), and Laura Thorne (The Environmental Career Coach). The moderator and MC for the evening is Chicago Climate Connect's own Mackenzie Siren. There will be time for networking and beverages donated from Molson Coors and Kadeya.  The local impact community is welcome, with prior RSVP!

June 13-14:  United Nations PRME - Principles for Responsible Management Education Global Forum plenary sessions - Online.

The ‘Principles for Responsible Management Education’ (PRME) is a United Nations-supported initiative founded in 2007.  They serve as a platform to raise the profile of sustainability in schools around the world.  June 12-16 is Responsible Management Education Week 2023.  PRME Global Forum will be part of this week, hosted by Fordham U in-person and the HopIn platform online.  The Forum will focus on impact across various session themes: pedagogy, climate, digital, and leadership.
